James 1:2-27
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come
your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you
know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a
chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is
fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing
nothing.

Most of us would not naturally describe trials as opportunities. In fact, if you’re anything like me, you think of
trials as things to be fixed—myself, others, the situation. Right now, I’m going through a trial in a web of
relationships that feels baffling to me. No one person—including me—is right, but no one is entirely wrong, either.
