Testimony
We clearly saw God’s hand throughout this project.
By his grace, the 7,000 Bibles were miraculously
protected from looting and destruction even though
many neighboring stores were looted when the war
intensified. The M23 rebellion, which had already been
active in surrounding villages in November 2024, finally
reached Goma and Bukavu in January 2025. Since then,
our region has been under rebel occupation, with
continuous clashes between M23, Wazalendo militias,
and FARDC, alternating with short ceasefires.
Despite this dramatic situation, God protected our Bible
stock. Families who buy Bibles testify with joy how
important it is to find them at a reduced price (USD
$7.50), especially now when the cost of all goods has
sharply increased after the war. Many praise God for
preserving our depot from looting, allowing them
to access his Word at a time when hope is scarce.
We strongly believe that God providentially planned this
project in advance. With flights to Kinshasa suspended,
Bibles that used to come from the capital no longer
arrive. Bibles imported from neighboring countries have
become far more expensive than before, and French
Bibles that used to arrive via postal services are no
longer available because the French postal system has
stopped sending small parcels. Today, we are the
only organization making Bibles consistently available
in Goma and Bukavu. This is God’s providence alone.
