Testimony
Hope came to ECFA after learning she was pregnant
with her first child. After surviving a cancer diagnosis,
Hope believed she would not be able to conceive,
so the news of her pregnancy filled her with excitement.
However, Hope’s boyfriend did not share her
excitement and even made an appointment for her
to have an abortion. Despite this, Hope made
the decision to choose life and plans to parent, despite
her boyfriend not being excited about the pregnancy.
Though this is Hope’s first pregnancy, she is the legal
guardian of her two younger siblings and often the
caregiver for her boyfriend’s other children. By nature,
Hope is a nurturer. She loves taking the kids to the beach
and the pool and has a trip planned to take them to the
zoo. Hope’s Pregnancy Support Services caseworker
describes her as very sweet, though initially reserved and
quiet. Hope is extremely grateful for the baby items she
has received and is enjoying the parenting lessons she’s
going through with her caseworker.
As Hope navigates the joy of her pregnancy and the
lack of support in her life, we are thankful to be able to
come alongside her. We are thrilled that she is choosing
life, and we will be there every step of the way to help
her succeed. We could not do this without your
support—thank you!
